Man appears in court over alleged attack on teenage girls in Thornhill
A TEENAGER charged with the brutal assault of three teenage girls has been denied bail.
Ryan Walker, 18, of Chettle Road, Thornhill, appeared before Southampton Magistrates' Court this morning charged with inflicting grievous bodily harm, attempting to inflict grievous bodily harm, common assault and possession of a bladed article.
He was arrested after three girls, aged 14, 15, and 16, were left with serious head and facial injuries after being subjected to an alleged assault at a skate park in Hinkler park.
Walker, who wore a black shirt and glasses, spoke only to confirm his name, address and date of birth during the hour-long hearing.
He was denied bail by magistrates chairman Steven Anderton, despite efforts from Ryan Seneviratne, defending Walker, for conditional bail.
Walker will appear at Southampton Crown Court on November 12.
