Emergency services called as part of house collapses
6:13pm Friday 25th October 2013 in News
EMERGENCY services were called after part of a Southampton home collapsed.
A section of the property, in Millbrook Road East, fell away and police officers and workmen were on the scene securing the building.
There is a police van and three officers outside.
Masonry and brickwork fell off the front of the house, but this was cleared.
Balfour Beatty workers set up a scaffold to secure the front of the house and protect members of the public.
The homeowner, a man, got out of the property and was unhurt, but did not want to comment.
Police said it had collapsed due to natural wear and tear and no-one was hurt.Send your news, pictures & videos Send your news, pictures & videos
