Man shot in buttocks in Oakridge
DETECTIVES are investigating after a man went to Basingstoke hospital with gunshot wounds to his legs and buttocks.
The 29-year-old man from Basingstoke went to the hospital last night, but it was believed he was shot between 10pm and midnight on Friday night at a house in Bennet Close, Oakridge.
His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
Detective Inspector Dave Dilly said: “We are in the early stages of our investigation at this time and the motive for the crime is not known at the moment, however the information we have so far shows this was a targeted attack on this man and there is no evidence to suggest a wider risk to the public.”
Police made house-to-house enquiries in Bennet Close last night.
