Pupils learn about 999 calls
10:07am Tuesday 29th October 2013 in News
SOUTH Central Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust is helping primary schools by educating children about using the 999 number.
With help from the SCAS mascot bear, every primary school in the region will receive an email titled ‘10 things which we would like kids to know about calling 999’ along with a quiz to test children’s knowledge.
SCAS has also asked pupils to come up with a name for its mascot bear accompanied by a picture.
All entries must be received by November 8, and the winning school will receive a visit from the bear.
An information pack is available by emailing getinvolved@scas. nhs.uk or by calling 01869 365126.
