From scary spiders to hissing snakes.
These are just a couple of the new species that will be at a Hampshire aquatic store after it celebrated the opening of its new reptile department.
Aquajardin in Allington Lane near Fair Oak, welcomed animal adventurer and TV personality Nigel Marven, who is known from the BBC series Walking with Dinosaurs and Prehistoric Park on ITV to open the new department.
A crowd of 500 people travelled from across the county and beyond to mark the occasion and meet Nigel, who answered questions about his work.
They also had the chance to see one of the world’s most venomous snakes on display, the inland taipan.
Director of Aquajardin Sam Baker said: “It has been superb to see lots of people come round and support the new reptile department and to see their keen interest in the animals.”
Nigel Marvin said: “It is great to visit this shop and to see young people and families getting into looking after reptiles.”
