Talented young chef in Hospitality Guild finals

A YOUNG chef has turned up the heat after making it to an awards final.
Connor Black is one of three candidates shortlisted for the Advanced Apprentice of the Year category in the Hospitality Guild Apprentice 2013.
The 17-year-old has completed a three-year course in Advanced Apprenticeship in Professional Cookery with HTP Training.
He began working at the Royal Hotel in the Isle of Wight under head chef Alan Staley before moving on to the two Michelin star gastro pub the Hand and Flowers in Marlow.
Celebrity chefs and industry leaders will be among those attending the awards ceremony in the Tower of London on Tuesday, December 3.
