Rose Road Appeal calls for Southampton volunteers to offer home care for young
11:30am Wednesday 30th October 2013 in News
A SOUTHAMPTON charity is calling for volunteers.
The Rose Road Association, which supports young people with disabilities and their families, is looking for people who can welcome a child or youngster with a disability into their home on a regular basis to provide short-term respite care as a Take-a-Break carer.
Take-a-Break carers usually look after the same young person for roughly one weekend a month, watching them grow up and know the difference they are making to their lives.
Volunteers must have a spare bedroom, but do not need special qualifications as training is provided.
