South Central Ambulance Service looking for governors
11:30am Thursday 31st October 2013 in News
South Central Ambulance Service is making a last call for members of the public to stand as appointed governors.
Ten positions will be filled across the south – with four residents for Hampshire, two for Berkshire, two for Buckinghamshire and two for Oxford.
Trevor Jones, chairman of South Central Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust, said: “Our Council of Governors is the voice of local people helping to set the strategic direction of the trust, based on members’ views, and holding the trust board to account.
“As a governor you will play an active part in your local ambulance service, represent your local community and learn new skills.”
The closing date for nominations is today. To be eligible you must be aged 16 years or over and a resident in the county to be represented.
