Council search for adoptive parents
11:00am Tuesday 5th November 2013 in News
HAMPSHIRE County Council can be looking for adoptive parents for up to 60 children at one time.
The county council revealed the statistic as part of National Adoption Week this week.
It is asking residents considering adoption to get in touch.
In the past year, the county council has arranged 61 successful adoptions and is keen to hear from anyone over 21 who believes they can offer a child or sibling group a loving and supportive family for life.
Councillor Keith Mans, executive lead member for children’s services, said: “We welcome enquiries from those of all sections of the community, regardless of age or background who feel they are able to offer a child the care and support they need.
“Finding the right homes for Hampshire children and supporting our adopters is our priority.”
An information pack is available on request by calling 0845 603 5620 or logging on to hants.gov.uk/adoption and completing an enquiry form.
