STAFF from a Hampshire energy firm joined volunteers to revamp footpaths and protect wildlife in a nature reserve.

Ten employees from Scottish and Southern Energy (SSE) joined Hampshire County Council and Warsash Conservation volunteers to upgrade paths winding through the Bunny Meadows nature reserve.

The site of special scientific interest is home to oystercatchers, black-tailed godwits and other wildlife and the busy walkway sees hundreds of people enjoying the countryside at the height of the summer.

The walkway has been in need of care for the past decade and the team from SSE’s Havant office were keen to return it to its former glory to help more people enjoy the reserve’s beauty.
