VULNERABLE people in Southampton can now benefit from a new community office catering for their needs.

In Touch, part of housing provider Family Mosaic, has opened a new office in Millbrook which will offer a wide range of support services to those in need living independently.

The Auckland Road office is the base for In Touch staff providing services across the city to people who are homeless, elderly, suffering from mental health issues, young people and those with learning disabilities.

These services range from support to people in their own homes, supported accommodation, domiciliary care and home improvement services, all of which aim to help people to be as independent as possible in their homes.

The Sheriff of Southampton, Councillor Sue Blatchford, was joined by Brendan Sarsfield, Family Mosaic’s chief executive at the opening of the centre.

Brendan said: “Since we bought In Touch two years ago we’ve had no secure base in this area. Now that we have this great new office we can provide even stronger services for local people who really need our help.”
