MORE than 800 people witnessed the creativity on offer at a Hampshire town’s latest creative hub.
The Sorting Office, in Eastleigh, held its first Christmas event, an art and design fair with a selection of bespoke and handmade gifts on sale not to be found on the high street.
Items on sale included bespoke decorations by children’s illustrator Denise Hughes and handdrawn cards by Iris Hill.
Accessories were a big hit on the day as crowds rushed to grab unique scarves by Karen Head and handmade jewellery by Joanne Tinley.
Sales more than doubled the cash taken at the studio’s last event earlier in the year.
There was also a unique grotto built by interior designer Claire Vine, a resident artist from the studio.
The hub hopes to repeat its success next year with a bigger and better Christmas market.
