TWO men have died in a car crash on a Hampshire road.

The driver of the car, a 24-year-old man from Southampton, and the front seat passenger, a 23-year-old man from Botley, were both killed as a result of the accident that happened just after 11pm last night.

Emergency services were called to the scene of the crash which happened on the B2177 Southwick Road towards Boarhunt but both men were pronounced dead at the scene.

According to Hampshire police the investigation is looking into what caused the grey Mitsubishi Lancer the men were travelling in, to leave the road and crash. No other vehicle is thought to have been involved.

Officers are now appealing for witnesses to the crash which is now being investigated by the Roads Policing Unit team based at Fratton station in Portsmouth.
