HAMPSHIRE’S police and crime commissioner is on the move.
Simon Hayes and his team are moving out of their former Hampshire Police Authority building in Westgate Chambers, Winchester. From Monday, the OPCC will be based in the heart of the city at St George’s Chamber’s, above Barclays Bank in St George’s Street.
The move is part of the commissioner’s estates strategy, which pledges to operate from “fit for purpose and cost effective buildings.” The PCC’s office secured a ten year lease and said the move will save around £23,000 a year in rent during the first five years of the tenancy.
