FROM bushy ones and curly ones to handlebars and straight ones, people across Hampshire got to work growing their best moustaches.

The Eastleigh Barbershop owner Rick Ford was among those who sprouted facial hair to raise money and awareness during the Movember fundraising month.

As well as growing his own mo, the 44-year-old from Ocean Village encouraged his customers to follow suit by donating money to the cause for every man taking part who had their hair cut at his shop in Wells Place, Eastleigh, in November.

The shop raised £48 to support men living with mental health issues and prostate and testicular cancer.

He said: “I think it’s brilliant because often people donate to charity on the quiet but when it’s Movember, people can see what you’re doing.

“Men don’t talk about their health and it’s a good way of getting the message across.”
