A MAN was taken ill on a train in Southampton.
Emergency services were called to Millbrook train station at around 4pm this afternoon to reports of a man becoming ill on a train to Salisbury.
Paramedics put the man onto an ambulance where he was given emergency treatment.
He was then taken to Southampton General Hospital.
There was heavy traffic congestion heading in the westbound direction of Millbrook Road as ambulances and police cars attended the scene.
Officers stopped the traffic at one point for the ambulance to leave the scene.
The road was clear by around 4.40pm.
