DETERMINED thieves got away with a £6,000 quad bike after removing anchoring points securing the vehicle to concrete.

Police say the gang targeted the 500cc black and yellow Polaris Scrambler quad in an outbuilding at Cherville Street in Romsey last week.

Wooden gates at the rear of a garden were forced to get to the outbuilding, between 9am on Monday and 3pm on Saturday.

The bike was fastened by chains into the concrete and linked to a security alarm system.

A police spokesman said thieves “dug the anchors” out of the concrete.
