TRAIN passengers face delays of up to half an hour this morning due to a signalling problem in Southampton.
The disruption is affecting services between Southampton Central and Brighton, and Southampton Central and Horsham due to the issue at St Denys.
National Rail says commuters face delays of up to 30 minutes and cancellations can be expected.
It is affecting First Great Western, Southern, and South West Trains services, but passengers can use each operators' service via any reasonable route.
Southern services will terminate either at Chichester or Fareham until further notice.
Train services running between Southampton Central and Fareham will run at a reduced speed on all lines.
Services running from Portsmouth Harbour to Bristol Temple Meads and Cardiff Central will be diverted via Eastleigh.
There is no estimate for when normal service will resume.
