HAMPSHIRE musicians will be celebrating the life of Nelson Mandela tonight.
They will be gathering in the The Cellar in the Cultural Quarter, Southampton, from 7pm till late.
Organisers say all are welcome.
This comes after tens of thousands of South Africans and scores of world leaders marked the life of Nelson Mandela this morning at a memorial service in Johannesburg's FNB Stadium.
The event brought together an unprecedented number of dignitaries, who commemorated the anti-apartheid icon alongside at least 80,000 South Africans who have queued since before dawn to secure a seat.
Rain fell on Soweto has failed to dampen the spirits of those singing and dancing inside and outside the stadium.
