Shopfront plans veto
PLANS to install a new shopfront in a Hampshire conservation area have been thrown out.
Matthews Properties Ltd lodged an appeal after its original application was rejected by New Forest District Council, but Government-appointed planning inspector Michael Evans has upheld the authority’s decision.
Mr Evans says the proposed development in Southampton Road, Ringwood, would fail to preserve the character and appearance of the area.
