A COMMUNICATIONS and marketing agency that has offices in Hampshire has made three key appointments as part of its bid to be a major player in the UK social media and public relations industry.

Remarkable Group, based in Winchester, has appointed a new executive director, a social media specialist and an associate director.

Julius Duncan has been appointed as executive director, and he will head up the Remarkable public relations team. He brings with him 18 years of experience in journalism, PR and digital marketing and has worked with clients like Virgin Mobile, Aviva, Thames Water, BT, News Corporation and the BBC.

Complementing Julius’ arrival is the appointment of social media specialist Simon Vincent, who will focus on content strategies and community management.

Previously Simon worked as a head of digital at his former agency and head of media and communications at Hampshire Cricket.

And joining them will be associate director Olivia Hill, who brings with her ten years’ experience in PR and social media.

Remarkable Group chief executive Stephen Pomeroy said: “This is an exciting opportunity for Remarkable. Julius, Simon and Olivia bring heavyweight PR experience and social media expertise to the agency, and will help to deliver our strategy to be an agency at the forefront of PR and social media in the UK.

“We are creating a distinct and progressive PR offering within the digital world to ensure our clients continue to receive the innovative solutions they have come to expect from Remarkable.”

The appointments bring the agency to a 64-strong workforce at its Hampshire and London offices.

Remarkable recently picked up national and regional accolades at the Public Affairs News Awards and CIPR PRide Awards.
