A FOOTBALL team coach who collapsed and died as he prepared to give a half-time team talk to youngsters will be laid to rest tomorrow.

Francis Breen suffered a suspected heart attack while coaching the Mighty Athletes Under-9s at a match at Priory Park, in Bishop’s Waltham, on Saturday, November 30.

The 59-year-old, of Charles Knott Gardens in Banister Park, Southampton, was a semi-retired civil servant with two children.

Mr Breen’s funeral will be held at Portswood Church.

Following this there will be a crematorium service on Bassett Green Road at 1.15pm followed by refreshments at the family home.

The Breen family say all who wish to pay their respects are welcome to all parts of the day.

They would not like to receive flowers on the day but would accept donations to Tearfund – Help Poverty Through Trade.
