SHIVER me timbers!

Pantomime met piracy as Andrew Ryan and Kathryn Rooney from the cast of Robinson Crusoe launched a hunt for treasure around the grounds of Sir Harold Hillier Gardens in Romsey.

The pair star alongside Brian Conley and Lesley Joseph in this year’s Southampton Mayflower pantomime and were on hand to get the gardens’ Grand Bauble Hunt started.

They were joined by children from St Winifred’s Primary School in Portswood and Basingstoke’s Old Basing Infant School who had taken part in the project to decorate trees for the event.

You can follow the swashbuckling Grand Bauble Hunt to find out if hero Robinson Crusoe manages to defeat the mighty sea monster.

Will Blackheart the pirate manage to steal the treasure map?

Trees decorated by ten Hampshire schools depict the thrilling tale of Robinson Crusoe.

Both the bauble hunt and Mayflower panto open tomorrow.
