KIND-HEARTED scooter club members will bring festive cheer to children at a Hampshire hospital this weekend.

Tomorrow, members of the Due South Scooter Club will dish out presents to sick youngsters at Winchester’s Royal Hampshire County Hospital.

It is just the latest in a series of generous gestures by members of the Eastleigh-based club, which has a long-standing link with the hospital.

This year alone the club has raised more than £5,000 for the hospital’s Magic Wand Appeal, which is aiming to improve facilities.

Members of the club will be dressed up as Father Christmas, an elf and a reindeer as they hand out about 40 presents to youngsters in the Northbrook children’s ward.

Club member Mark Walker, from Lordshill, Southampton, said: “The kids’ faces light up when they see Santa and the presents, it’s great.”
