POLICE are hunting a man who fled from police officers attempting to detain him in Southampton.
The man, who is suspected to have committed a number of offences, ran away from officers as they approached him in Thornhill at 3.30pm.
He ran away from the Vanguard Road and Lytham Road area, and is believed to have lost one of his shoes and his jacket in his flight.
He is described as being in his mid 20s, about 6ft tall, of athletic build and with short dark hair.
Members of the public are advised to call the police on 999 if they see him rather than approaching him.
