THE final yacht has completed the latest leg of the Clipper Round the World Race by arriving in Sydney this morning.

PSP Logistics, sponsored by the Fareham based freight fowarder of the same name, came last out of 12 boats on race 5 from Albany in Western Australia.

Henri Lloyd took first place followed closely by OneDLL, whose crew includes 63-year-old Dave Richards from Southampton and skippered by Cowes-based Ollie Cotterell.

Qingdao, skippered by Gareth Glover from Gosport, clinched third place ahead of Switzerland, whose crew includes former Southampton City College principal Lindsey Noble from Winchester and Charlie Pickering, 58, from Southampton.

Derry-Londonderry-Doire finished fifth followed by Jamaica Get All Right, skippered by Titchfield’s Pete Stirling, in sixth.

After a well-deserved break in the city Sydney, the teams will then begin to prepare for the Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race which starts on Boxing Day.
