A “family from hell” who waged a campaign of terror across several Hampshire neighbourhoods are causing more misery after being moved - again.

The family of ten have been re-homed four times after plaguing each new area they move to with persistent antisocial behaviour and vandalism.

Now residents of the latest neighbourhood suffering at their hands are facing a miserable Christmas and new year. They are demanding the mum, dad and eight children are evicted again – for what would be the fifth time in three years.

Since the family moved to the new Southampton community in July, neighbours have accused them of: n Smashing windows and cars.

• Stealing property from vehicles and people’s gardens.

• Dumping dog faeces on doorsteps and throwing it at windows.

• Throwing stones, swearing and intimidating residents.

• Starting bonfires during the day.

Yet the Daily Echo is still unable to tell readers who they are and where they live because of a court order.

Daily Echo: Richard Tracey with his vandalised car.

Resident Richard Tracey – who has four children – says people have already moved away since the family arrived.

He accused the family, who live on benefits, of throwing a missile at his living room window before returning to throw another at his car after police arrived.

“It isn’t right to be living like this. We feel intimidated by them and I worry about my kids going out.

“We tell them to take alternative routes home from school and stick together.

“We own our own house and it gets damaged and you have to pay for repairs, but what’s the point of repairing it if it happens again.”

Another resident, who was too scared to be named for fear of reprisals, said: “This used to be a peaceful area but now it’s a nightmare and we are all living on edge.

“It seems that wherever they go they cause trouble and somebody’s got to do something about it. They should be moved.”

A 42-year-old father of four, who also wanted to remain anonymous, said: “It’s terrible, I don’t let my kids go out because they throw stones at us.

“They vandalise people’s cars, swear at people – it’s crazy. It’s a complete lack of morality and normally you would want to talk to the parents but even they swear at people.”

City council housing boss Cllr Warwick Payne said: “Until this point no complaint has been raised with me personally.

“What we would be looking for is some data from when the residents nearby have complained, what they have complained about and reports from the police, and then we will be able to look into this.”

Police were unavailable for comment yesterday.

When approached by the Daily Echo, the family refused to comment. Previously they visited our offices last year claiming they were “not that bad” and feel they are being persecuted by police.

The mum said: “We are just a big family with a lot of kids who are just being kids. We are just being constantly harassed by the police for all sorts of things.”
