A SOUTHAMPTON man who refused to co-operate with police in naming a driver is now more than £700 poorer.
Lauris Ruska, 28, of Shirley Road, failed to identify the driver of a 53-reg Ford Mondeo between June 9 and 16.
Ruska denied the charge but magistrates in Basingstoke found him guilty in his absence.
They fined him £600, imposed six penalty points on his driving licence and ordered he pay £150 costs and a £15 victim surcharge.
