A SERVICE that helps ensure the health of wellbeing of pupils in schools across Hampshire is in the running for a national award.
Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust’s School Nursing Service is a finalist in this year’s National Patient Experience Network (PEN) Awards.
It will compete in the category for Communicating Effectively with Patients and Families. The PEN Awards recognise and celebrate the delivery of outstanding patient experience by those involved in the healthcare industry.
The School Nursing Service has been recognised for its work communicating key health and wellbeing information with parents, teachers and children across the county.
It has used feedback from a series of questionnaires, surveys and focus groups to create webpages that provide key health and wellbeing information, and useful tools and resources for parents, teachers and young people. It has also created a term time newsletter for schools.
The team will attend the awards ceremony in Birmingham on February 5.
