A FINANCIAL advisor is urging people to prepare for changes in tax law.
Grant Thornton UK LLP hosted an event in conjunction with Kaplan to raise awareness at St Mary’s Stadium, and dozens of people were able to hear talks from experts including the firm’s VAT senior manager Joe Francis, who spoke about changes to VAT due to come into force on January 1, 2015.
Companies providing telecoms services, radio and broadcasting services or electronic services will need to know where their customers live so that the correct VAT rate is paid.
There were also representatives from Dasic Marine, Defence Science and Technology Laboratory and Red Funnel at the event.
