MASKED raiders armed with a truncheon forced their way into a Southampton couple’s home and robbed them.

Three men, two of who were wearing balaclavas, bundled into a house in Priory Avenue, St Denys, after a man opened the door presuming it was a delivery.

He was pushed backwards into the house by the men, one of whom was possibly armed with a truncheon.

They stole two iPhones, a watch, and £200 in change jars.

Police say the 34-year-old victim suffered minor injuries during an assault.

All of the males – one of which was wearing a suit – ran off towards Priory Road.

The man wearing a suit is described as white, aged between 30-40 and of average build. He is pale skinned with messy blond grey hair.

Two of the men were wearing dark full-face covering balaclavas and tracksuits. They are both around 5ft 10ins and 6ft tall.

Officers say the incident has shaken the victim and his partner. A police spokesman said: “This is an unusual incident to have happened in this area, and we want to reassure other residents that this is believed to be an isolated incident on the facts currently known.”
