A TERRIFIED woman was slashed across her neck by her sister’s knife-wielding ex-boyfriend, a court heard.

Michael Easy allegedly cut Toni Lee Dumper after an argument at a house party in Southampton.

Easy, 28, of no fixed address, denies two charges of causing actual bodily harm and carrying a bladed weapon.

Southampton Crown Court heard how Miss Dumper was partying in Alma Road on May 24 when Easy arrived with another man and demanded Miss Dumper tell him where her sister Lauren – his ex girlfriend – was.

Prosecutor Charles Parry told the court: “An unpleasant exchange of words took place between the two of them. A knife was produced which caused a small cut to her throat.”

He said Easy initially hit her in the face before saying “Don’t think I won’t stab or shank you up”, then kicking her thigh and making threats to her family.

The court heard how he took the 8in knife from the waistband of his trousers and cut her below her chin.

He put the weapon back in his trousers before the pair headed to a nearby hostel where Lauren was staying.

On the way Easy told her: “Your sister has done me wrong – I’m going to get someone gunning for her.”

But he later said he only wanted to talk to, rather than hurt, Lauren.

Nightwatchman Michael Ebhogiaye let Miss Dumper in before Easy could enter. Easy subsequently disappeared.

Mr Parry told the court: “She was hysterically sobbing and screaming, saying “Let me in, I’ve just been attacked!”.

Paramedics arrived to treat a small cut to her neck but she did not need hospital treatment. Easy was arrested on July 5.

Miss Dumper told the court how she had been drinking at the party since 7pm and her sister left when she heard Easy and his friends were arriving. She said Lauren was “frightened” because she had had a violent relationship with Easy.

She told the court how Easy slapped her left cheek and kicked her thigh before brandishing the knife and she said: “I thought my life was over – I was shaking.”

But Mark Florida-James, defending, denied Easy had a knife or struck her, claiming he only pushed her after they got into an argument.

He also questioned why|she seemed unable to tell whether he still had the |knife as they walked to the hostel.

Mr Florida-James said: “If he had a knife down his trousers he would have had difficulty kicking you.”

She said: “I know what I saw.”
