A HAMPSHIRE autism charity has re-launched under a brand new name.

Hampshire Autistic Society has been rebranded as Autism Hampshire, complete with a new, more modern logo.

A spokesman for the charity said: “The new name is seen as a natural evolution of the charity’s branding to better reflect a continued focus on autism and to remove the perceived exclusive nature of the term ‘society’.

“The values, commitment and focus on autism provision across the county and surrounds will remain.”

There are an estimated 18,000 people on the autism spectrum in Hampshire and the organisation works with more than 200 individuals and 100 families.

Services include a life skills college, an adult day service, supported living projects and an outreach department.
