Firefighters pull free couple from car stuck in flood water

FIREFIGHTERS were called into action this afternoon after a car got stuck in flood water in Hampshire.

Crews from Brockenhurst, Lyndhurst, Fareham and Eastleigh were drafted in at 1pm, to rescue two people who were stranded inside the car, which hit flood water in Balmer Lawn Road, Brockenhurst.

The incident was over within 30 minutes and no one was injured.

I thought I drove a bit quick, but a fire engine from Fareham was called and it was all over in 30 minutes, even the Eastleigh one would have had difficulty in getting there in that time.
