FIREFIGHTERS were called into action in the early hours of today to put out a blaze in a Hampshire restaurant.
Crews from Hightown and Fareham quickly got the fire in the deep fat fryer of the Harvester in Whiteley Village under control after it started at around 5am.
No one was in the restaurant at the time and the flames were confined to the fryer.
It is thought that the incident will not affect the restaurant's opening hours today.
