POLICE are hunting a gang who knocked a man to the ground in Southampton before stealing his money.

The 29-year-old victim was at the corner of Charlotte Place and Dorset Street when three men approached and tried to speak to him.

When he turned away they pursued him and kicked him to the floor before stealing £20 cash from his pockets.

He suffered a cut to his chin as well as grazed hands and knees in the fall.

One of his attackers is tall, in his late 30s, and has a ginger beard.

He wore a blue hooded coat and striped tracksuit bottoms and spoke with an eastern European accent.

His accomplices were in their late 20s, and bald, both wore hooded tops - one red and the other white.
