Power cut hits 400 homes
AROUND 400 Hampshire homes are without power this afternoon.
Engineers are currently battling to restore power to the properties in Chandler's Ford.
Some 1,500 homes in Hampshire were left without power over Christmas after storms hit the region.
But Southern Electric (SSE) says the power failure in Chandler's Ford is unrelated to the weather, and is due to a separate fault.
A spokesman said the power outage in Chandler's Ford occurred at about 3pm this afternoon.
She said that although engineers are currently on site, there is no estimated time for when power will be restored.
