MORE than 50 firefighters battled a blaze at a derelict building in a Hampshire town tonight.
The fire broke out shortly before 5.30pm at a disused property in Grange Lane, Gosport.
Seven fire engines and crews from Gosport, Fareham, Portchester and Cosham fire stations tackled the flames and drafted in an aerial ladder platform to help with the operation.
The fire was dealt with by 8pmm but three crews remanined to dampen down the building.
Noone was hurt and neighbours were able to remain in their homes.
