Dramatic escape of drunk man lying in road nearly hit by bus - VIDEO

Daily Echo: Drunk man lying in road narrowly missed by bus - video Drunk man lying in road narrowly missed by bus - video

THIS is the moment a bus driver's quick thinking saved a man's life.

A dramatic video released today shows how a bus driver had to slam on the brakes as a man lay prone in the middle of the road in the early hours of the morning.

Sgt Dave Sanderson from the Isle of Wight Roads Policing Unit said: "The video shows the extraordinary danger the man put himself in.

“More significantly the danger he put everyone else in. Imagine the devastating impact this incident could have had on others if it were not for the amazing reactions of the bus driver."

The footage was taken from a Southern Vectis bus on the Isle of Wight, which was travelling down Halletts Shute near Yarmouth.

Er, the story says 'brakes' which is correct, so why do you want them to spell it as 'breaks' which is something else entirely?

And what is going on with your use of punctuation? It's like you fell asleep on the full stop and question mark keys!

Ban this idiot from consuming alcohol for 5 years!
A drunk fell in front of my motorcycle in Lymington. I narrowly avoided him.
I almost crashed into a sign thanks to the drunk idiot!
Police target drivers, but rarely tackle idiots wandering into the highway.
We need to have a zero tolerance on these drunk fools!

Nothing particularly 'amazing' about the driver's reaction. There was someone in the road....he stopped. Makes a change for a bus driver. They usually drive like psychos!
