Torrential rain and 60 mile an hour winds are wreaking havoc across Hampshire today.

Ferrries have cancelled and one of the county’s main football games has been postponed.

It comes as the Met Office issued a yellow weather warning asking people to be aware of the stormy conditions.

The weather has have seen ferry services to and from the Isle of Wight cancelled with Wightlink ferries between Portsmouth and Ryde and hovertravel services to Southsea both suspended.

Also falling victim to the weather was AFC Totton’s home game against Burnham which has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch at the Testwood stadium.

As has Eastleigh's home Conference South league game against Dorchester.

However Saints home game against Chelsea won’t fall foul to the torrid conditions as no pitch inspection is planned ahead of the 3pm kickoff.

Following the devastation caused by the Christmas storms and the ongoing spell of bad weather Hampshire County Council has poured in extra resources to deal with water on the roads and fallen trees.
