She had been a passenger in a red Renault Clio which collided with a silver Renault Megane.
The 18-year-old male driver of the Clio was airlifted to Southampton General Hospital with life-threatening injuries, along with another passenger, a 13-year-old girl, who suffered serious injuries.
It took place at Mersley Down on the Isle of Wight and the road was closed for several hours while police investigated.
