Hunt for green-fingered volunteers

First published in News

A HAMPSHIRE housing association is on the hunt for green fingered volunteers.

First Wessex wants volunteers to give up two hours a month to help its customers who can’t manage their gardens due to disability, ill health or old age.

For further information about the gardening project call 023 9289 6744 or email volunteer@firstwessex.org.

Should not the First Wessex employ people to be able to do this instead of relying on volunteers.

Housing Associations are responsible for the upkeep of communal areas whereas tenants are responsible for their own gardens.

The owner of the home and land are also responsible for the up keep, Council tenants get that right for there garden to be taken care off by the council if they are unable to maintain there garden though ill health.
This just Wessex First being a cheap skate and are only interested in large profits
