A man has died after the lorry he was in crashed on a Hampshire motorway.
The crash last night happened when the 7.5 ton box lorry crashed into the central reservation of the M3.
Police closed the southbound carriageway of the motorway for several hours while investigations into the crash were carried out.
Two people were in the lorry at the time of the crash, at 4.53pm, near junction 13.
They were taken to Southampton General Hospital with serious injuries but one, a 60-year-old, died.
A 45-year-old man still being treated in hospital wiht serious but not life-threatening injuries.
Police are still trying to find out which one of the men, who have not been identified was driving lorry.
No other vehicles were involved in the collision, police say.
Officers have appealed for any witnesses to contact Sergeant Dan Goulding at Totton road policing unit on 101 quoting Operation Magnolite.
