A LORRY driver killed in a crash on the motorway has been named by police.
Antony Welling, 60, died after his 7.5 tonne Mercedes lorry collided with a barrier at junction 13 of the M3 on Saturday afternoon.
Mr Welling, from Abbots Langley in Hertfordshire, was taken by ambulance from the scene of the crash near Eastleigh to Southampton General Hospital, where he later died.
His passenger, a 45-year-old man from Essex, was also taken to hospital with serious but not life threatening injuries.
Police are continuing their investigation and would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision which happened at 4.50pm on January 4.
No other vehicle was involved in the incident.
