A redundant quarry near Alresford will be redeveloped for housing.
Planners at East Hampshire District Council have approved the scheme for six homes and the reinstatement of Ropley Lime Quarry, Soames Lane, disused for several years.
A recent parish council meeting heard there are conditions such as building work only between 8am-5pm and not at weekends as well as only clean top soil to be imported on to site.
The parish council is worried about the impact locally during construction.
The decision is based on the developer achieving required sight lines without removing any hedges or trees, which is against the Village Design Statement.
