A BOMB disposal team was called to a Southampton firm this morning after a device was found by staff.
Workman at the Cemax plant at Belvidere Road in Northam alerted police that a device had been recovered prompting a bomb disposal squad from Aldershot to be deployed to the site opposite St Mary's Stadium.
By 10.20am, experts removed the eight-inch long suspected bomb that is thought to have been dredged up from the River Itchen.
No one was thought to have been evacuated.
