PEOPLE are being asked to come forward with memorabilia from the First World War.

Curators planning a series of exhibitions across the county are looking for anything that tells a story about its unique involvement in the war.

This could be military items, medals, photographs, documents, letters or household items from the period. And they might have belonged to someone who played a part in the efforts to support the war in a local hospital, factory or on the land.

Contributors can attend four drop-in sessions between 1pm and 4.30pm at SeaCity Museum, Southampton, this Sunday, January 12; Winchester Discovery Centre, Jewry Street, on Saturday, January 18, and Forest Arts Centre, Old Milton Road, New Milton on Saturday, February 1.
