A Hampshire pub which closed for eight months last year is now back in business and pulling in costumers.

Michelle Francis, the new landlady at the King’s Head in the village of Whiteparish, said she has plans to improve footfall even further at the Grade 11 listed pub.

Michelle, 33, who was born in Southampton and has previously worked as a vet in Botley, took over the pub in November.

Daily Echo:

Since she’s been at the helm, customers have been flocking back to the watering hole, which shut last spring after a fall in custom.

“We are now really family orientated and people from the village are now using the pub again. We were very busy in November and December. I am now planning to hold wedding receptions, said Michelle”

The pub will host a wedding fair on February 22. Live music can also be heard on February 1 while a beer festival is being planned for Easter.
