Hope my family are alright. They use that pub (when they go which isn't often) and they would walk instead of driving. I'm sure I would have heard if one of them had been involved (I hope)

Where does it say that excessive speed was a factor or indeed where does it state that it is the fault of the car driver?
Hope the person involved is okay.

I don't think a mini-roundabout would help just better road markings and more double yellow lines would help!

True. So many are so quick to blame the driver. At the weekend, I was reversing and someone stepped out into the road without even looking, then had a go at me as if it was my fault. A similar thing happened coming out of a side street in shirley where someone walked out without even slowing in step. I was luckily going slowly as was approaching the junction, but again this guy had a go at me, despite the fact that he didn't even look before crossing.
In this instance though, we have no idea what happened. The driver could have been going too quick. the pedestrain could have walked out without looking. Who knows? Until we know it is pointless to speculate.
I hope both parties recover.

Again, posting without knowing the facts.

There will be accidents on every road... should we stick a mini roundabout on every single road in the country?

How about stop making things up until you know what's happened and how it's happened... then maybe, just maybe, you can post something that's worthwhile.

Look on bright side, it maybe be case of 3rd time lucky, we might attract an applicant with qualifications and experience for the job itself, you never know....

What an opinionated person you are S!Mon.
Lived here in Regents Park nearly early all my life and was making a suggestion.
Use this road every day and maybe not same sircumstances but have seen a lot of near misses.
Please allow others to have an opinion.
