Body found in the water
THE body of a man has been found in the Solent this morning.
It was discovered after being spotted close to the shoreline in shallow water off East Cowes near to Old Castle point at 9.32am this morning.
Two members of Cowes RNLI lifeboat went into the water to assist the police with the recovery of the body which was taken to a nearby police van.
The identity of the man who is believed to be middle aged is not yet known.
